Chairman ADVISORY BOARD

Nathan Mitchell joins MPX as Non-Executive Chairman. Mr Mitchell has been involved in the drilling and resources industries for virtually his entire life. With a career spanning almost 30 years, he has a proven track record as an industry leader in technical development and business growth.

Mr Mitchell is currently Executive Chairman of the Mitchell Group including Energy and Equipment as well as Mitchell Services (ASX:MSV). Previously, as CEO of Mitchell Drilling Contractors, Mr Mitchell led the Company through a period of rapid local growth and directed an international expansion into India, China, Indonesia, the United States and southern Africa. Other directorships include Mitchell Drilling International Pty Ltd and Adaman Resources.

Mr Mitchell also previously served on the board of Westside Corporation (ASX:WCL) from 2008 to 2014 and Tlou Energy Limited (ASX:TOU) from June 2009 to February 2016.

SIMON COHN

CO-FOUNDER EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Simon shared a vision to form a project generator in Australia that accelerated not only project identification but with a core focus on project development and commercialisation. Simon worked closely with the remainder of the board in developing the MPX initiative. Simon drives project acquisition and development for MPX, preparing projects for commercialisation.  

Simon holds a number of advisory roles as Non-Executive Director, drawing on a wealth knowledge built up over 20 years experience in the resources sector.

Simon holds a Bachelor of Mining Engineering with Honours from the University of Queensland and has worked in roles across a wide range of open-cut and underground mines throughout Australia and overseas.

Grant is the co-founder and executive director of Mining Projects Accelerator (MPX). Grant is focused on developing and growing businesses, creating win/win outcomes with business partners, investors and clients.  Grant drives the business development, marketing and capital raising functions of MPX and Ortus with a focus on delivering business growth and excellent returns for shareholders and investors.

Grant previously co-founded One Key Resources in 2010, a large mining services business which he grew to in excess of $250 Million in annual sales revenues. In 2016, a private equity backed, UK based firm acquired a majority of that business. During this time, Grant worked closely with some of the world’s largest mining companies on in excess of 90 different mine sites across Australia and maintains active business interests in the Australian mining industry today.

Dr fred hess

ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER

Dr Fred Hess joined MPX as a non-executive Director, having been with PanAust for 13 years including four as managing director. Prior to joining PanAust, Fred managed the Macreas Gold Mine in New Zealand and the Mt Gordon Copper Mine in Australia following a career with WMC Resources and Bougainville Copper Limited in Papua New Guinea. Fred was appointed a director of ASX listed explorer, Aeon Metals, in July 2019.

Fred will be providing strategic direction to the company through both the project filtering and subsequent development phases.
